Fulton Rev. Hubert L. White, 79, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at The Meadows in Fulton. He was born October 9, 1931 to Aaron Vonnie and Arnie Vee Hallmark White. He was a minister in the Church of God of Prophecy for 52 years. He pastored many churches in North Mississippi. He worked for and later became the owner of Beggs Furniture Company in Tupelo for over 60 years. He collected and sold antiques and enjoyed making people laugh.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011, at the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Tim Winters, Bishop Harold Parker, Rev. Wayne Thorn and Rev. Ryan Napalo officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one sister, Odie Vee White of Mooreville; four brothers, Heburn White of Mooreville, Lelva White (Gayle) of Mooreville, Argus White (Martha) of Mantachie and Irron White of Mooreville; one sister-in-law, Martha Pickens (Kenneth) of Belden; one brother-in-law, Herbert Atkinson (Martha) of Hernando; several nieces and nephews; god-children, Glinda Vance (David) of Mooreville and Dawn Ihle (Shane) of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet White on June 09, 2000; his parents; two brothers, A.D. and R. V. White; his grandparents, Lee and Elizabeth White and Luther and Vella Hallmark.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Vance, Cody Hoyle, Tracy Rogers, Barry White, Jonathan White and Blake Buchanan.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Dolusic, Kenneth White and Tyler Camp.
Visitation will be 5 - 9 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the church.
