Hoyt C. “Buddy” Curbow
Tupelo - Hoyt Cleveland Curbow, age 91, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Greenhouses at Traceway Retirement Community. Buddy was born May 28, 1931, to Hubby Clifford Curbow and Rosa Lee Kingsley Curbow. Hoyt served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. In 1955, he married, Frances L. Cummings Curbow. They shared 57 years together before she passed away in 2012. He was a faithful member of East Heights Baptist Church. Buddy was a hard worker and dedicated family man. He enjoyed camping and mission trips with his wife, fixing up and selling antique cars, and his daily morning coffee at Hardee’s with his friends.
Hoyt is survived by his two sons, Rusty Curbow and his wife, Rachel, and Jeff Curbow and his wife, Robin; two grandsons, David “Riley” Curbow and Robert “Robby” Curbow and his wife, Hilary, all of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Kathryn Mitchell.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Lee Memorial Park with Dr. Terry Cutrer officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Randy McCoy, Riley Curbow, Charlie Aldridge, Chad Wheeler, Dave Hammock, and Eric Barber.
