HERMAN EDWIN WEST Tupeo - Herman Edwin West, 93, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at his home. He was born in Verona on April 1, 1922 to Edward R. and Lovie Dale Crum West. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He retired from Barber's Milk and also worked with Cockrell Bannana Company for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in England and Ireland during World War II in the 5th Infantry Regiment. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Matt Scopel and Rev. Paul Brashier officiating. A graveside will follow at Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two children, Herman "Eddie" West, Jr. and Susan O'Quinn (Jeff); sister, Lucille Gunter all of Tupelo; host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances O'Neal West in 2010; his parents, Edward R. and Lovie Dale Crum West ; his sister, Dorothy Jean Pearson. Pallbearers will be Mark Smith, Wesley Gunter, Jim Gunter, Shannon Gunter, Jeff Thornton, Bill Bates and Guy Springer. Visitation will be 11 - 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
