Herbert C. Kendrick
TUPELO - Herbert Clive Kendrick, 54, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at his residence after an extended illness. An Amory native, he was born Oct. 14, 1951, to the late James Clive and Dorothy Helen Rorie Kendrick. A 1969 graduate of Amory High School, he then went on to serve in the United States Coast Guard for four years. He later attended Mississippi College and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He had worked as an auditor for the federal government. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Kreitenstein officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Terry Kendrick of Tupelo; two children, J.C. Kendrick and Terra Kendrick, both of Tupelo; one sister, Dean Wright and husband, Arlen; two nephews, Lee and Scott Wright, all of the Athens community.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Kendrick.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Kendrick, Mack Price, Steve Barrett, Charles Baker, Steve Gregory and David Clay.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday.
