Herbert T. Chatham
TUPELO--Herbert T. Chatham, 94, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at home in Verona after a long illness. He was born August 18, 1911, to the late Will and Beulah Chatham. He was retired from Super Sagless and a member of the Baptist church.
A private stateroom service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at W.E. Pegues on Jefferson Street with Rev. Rob Westbrook, grandson-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Dorsey Cemetery.
Survivors include his beloved daughter and caregiver, Louise Turman; one son, James Chatham of Fulton; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Maureen Pera of Memphis; two brothers, Tommy Chatham of Atlanta, Ga., Hubert Price, his twin, of La Mesa, Calif.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorine; two sons, Harold Chatham and Ted Chatham, two grandsons, Chuck Reifers and John Trice Chatham; three brothers, Albert Chatham, Roy Chatham, and Benson Chatham.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Bill Reifers, Brad Chatham, Butch Chatham, Greg Chatham, and Michael Chatham.
