Heburn White

March 10, 1934 — September 26, 2015

Mooreville - Heburn White, 81, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Longwood Community Living. He was born in Red Bay, Alabama on March 10, 1934, to Arron V. and Arnie Vee Hallmark White. As a young boy he worked in his father's saw mill. Heburn married the love of his life, Mary Leona in 1954, and shared 55 years together before her passing in 2010. He retired from Foamex after 32 years. After retirement he worked in the gardening department at Lowes for two years. Heburn collected knives and enjoyed trading older model cars. In his spare time he worked on lawnmowers and bicycles. Heburn was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He taught his daughters to love the Lord and the Bible just as he did. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015, at Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Tim Winters and Rev. Wayne Thorn officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Glinda Vance (David) of Mooreville and Dawn White Ihle (Shane) of Saltillo; three brothers, Lelva White (Gayle) of Mooreville, Argus White (Martha) of Mantachie and Irron White of Mooreville; sister-in-law, Sarah Harris (Robbie), three bothers-in-law, Paul Green (Charolette), Carlton Green (Mary) and Dexter Stegall; two grandchildren, Mary Davis (Billy) of Houston and Jacob Vance (Brandie) of Saltillo; four great-grandsons, Tyler Davis, Cooper Davis, Caleb Vance and Kaiden Vance. He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, Mary Leona White; sister, Odie Vee White; brother, Hubert White; sister-in-law, Sue Stegall; infant siblings, A. D. and R. V. White. Pallbearers will be Jacob Vance, Blake Buchanan, Jason Green, Eddie Harris, J. D. Davidson, Eli White, Jonathan White and Terry Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Mauldin, James Barnes, Bo Young, Billy Joe Ewing, Noel Franks and Albert Jackson. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the church.
