Tupelo ? Heather C. Burns, 29, died Monday, February 11, 2013, at her residence in Tupelo. She was born July 21, 1983, in Tupelo to Keith G. ?Jerry? Burns, Jr. and Sara Phyllis Burns. She was an avid reader and enjoyed learning. She loved spending time with her family, animals and working with flowers. Also she enjoyed writing poetry, listening to music and watching movies. She attended New Hope Baptist Church.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Danny Balint officiating. Burial will be at Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include her parents, Keith G. ?Jerry? Burns, Jr. and Sara Phyllis Barnes Burns of Tupelo; aunts and uncles, James and Judy Barnes of Tupelo, Mary Shawn and Michael Whitfield of Blue Springs, Laverna Small of Sherwood, Arkansas, Thelma and Tommy Johnson of Corinth, Joe and Rosita Burns of Hampden, Maine, Kathi Mann of Plantersville; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Elwood Barnes, Sr., Sara C. Chase, Keith G. Burns, Sr. and Peggy Margeret Eva Burns; both maternal and paternal great-grandparents.
Visitation will be 11 ? 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the funeral home.
