HAZEL TINDALL

Tupelo - HAZEL WHITESIDES TINDALL, 98, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Mitchell Center at Traceway after an extended illness. A Mooreville native, she was born November 4, 1908 to the late Elvin Winford and Mary Catherine Vaughn Whitesides. She retired after 63 years from R. W. Reed Department Store where she worked as secretary and bookkeeper and office manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church since 1932, a member of the Virgina F. Thomas Sunday School Class, president and secretary. She was later a member of Belle Bennett Sunday School Class.

Services will be11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Hershel Wiygul officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one nephew Elvin Whitesides and wife Samaria of Los Angeles, California; four nieces Barbara Whitesides of Los Angeles, California, Patsy Seaman and children of Tenn, Linda Sheffield (wife of the late John Sheffield, Jr.) of Branson. MO, Betty Tindall of Tupelo, daughter of the late John Sheffield, Jr. Melanie Key; several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years J. W. "Bill" Tindall; one sister, Mary Algus Sheffield; two brothers Hoyt and wife Clytee and Heber and his wife Lou Whitesides; two nieces Sarah Lynn Monette and Joan Bush; one nephew John V. Sheffield Jr.

Pallbearers will be Dennis and Tom Tindall, Douglas Key, Dorsey Lee Schumpert, Elvin Whitesides.

Visitation will be 9:00 " 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home
