Hazel Kenney

HAZEL KENNEY Tupelo - Hazel Corrine Kenney, 94, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at her home, due to the effects of a stroke she suffered in September. She was born in Mount Vernon, on March 21, 1920, to Mittie Wade Kenney and William Henry Kenney. She was well known in the community due to her long service at the Bank of Mississippi for 25 years. She was an avid animal caretaker and volunteered to help with animals. She also painted ceramics and loved going to garage sales. She was a loyal sister, aunt, and friend. A stateroom service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015 at W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors. She is survived by her sister, Bessie Barclay, age 99; her nephew, Bob Kenney; her niece Martha Stevens; her great niece and nephew; her five great-great nieces and nephews.
