Saltillo - Hazel Faye Brown, 75, died Sunday, September 6, 2009, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Hickory Flat native, she was born February 6, 1934 to Woodrow Wilson and Clevie Ann Perkins Crouch. She was retired from Lawhon Elementary where she worked in the school cafeteria. She enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Limestone Baptist Church..
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Gary Carroll and Wayne Brown officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Brown (Sandra) of Nettleton, David Brown (Linda) of Saltillo and Jerry Brown (Jenny) of Saltillo; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, J.P. Brown; two brothers, a sister, and her parents.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ben, Wayne, Jason Justin, Brandon and Bronson Brown.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
