Hazel Adderholt

April 6, 1924 — November 30, 2008

Blue Springs - Hazel Virginia Adderholt, 84, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Graceland Care Center in New Albany after a long illness. A Union County native, she was born April 6, 1924, to George and Zelma Floyd Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.E. Buddy Adderholt on August 6, 1977. She shared ownership of Adderholt's Restaurant and Catering in Tupelo for many years. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she loved her family and was a great supporter and joy to all who loved her.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Jeff Lawrence of Bethlehem United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Adderholt of Blue Springs and Sammy Adderholt (Peggy) of Tupelo; one daughter, Jane Jernigan Criddle (Troy) of Saltillo; three sisters, Christine Roberts (J.D.) of Blue Springs, Margie Booth (Jerry) of Endville, Winnie Banker (Jim) of Saltillo; one brother, Bobby Jones of Sherman; three granddaughters, Linda Wyatt (Jason) of Madison, Amy Shankle (Mike) of Tupelo, and Melissa Adderholt of Pensacola, Fl.; two grandsons, Lon Jernigan (Brooke) of Saltillo and Michael Adderholt of Tupelo; three great-granddaughters, Maegin, Jaelin and Katelyn Wyatt of Madison; two great-grandsons, Jonathan Best of Tupelo and Avery Jernigan of Saltillo.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the Saltillo funeral home.
