HARRISON HENRY HOOD



Fulton ? Harrison Henry Hood, 73, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Courtyards Community Living Center. Harrison was born February 21, 1940, in Lee County to Haskle Henry and Beatrice Lavelle Montgomery Hood.



He enjoyed cars and trucks. Harrison has many wonderful memories of hanging out at the Willis Brothers Car Lot in Skyline. He was also passionate about bicycles. He owned twelve of them and spent countless hours taking care of them.



He loved his family and they loved him. He is survived by six siblings, Virginia Dickey and Martha Foster both of Mooreville, J.R. Hood of Columbus, Frances Williams (Mack) of Tupelo, Eva Dunn of Nashville, Tennessee and Phillip Hood of Mooreville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskle and Beatrice Hood; two brothers, James Hood and Jessie Hood; one uncle, Eugene Hood; brother-in-law, Jimmy Dickey; nieces, Jessica Hood Marcy and Lynn Parker Rushing.



A celebration of his life will be 3 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013, at the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Shane Ray officiating. A graveside service will follow at Union Grove Cemetery with pallbearers, Paul and Terry Green, Robbie and Ronnie Harris, Mike Mitchell and Ralph Montgomery.



The family would like to extend a special thank you of gratitude to Pamela Sparks, L.P.N., Michael Nash, R.N., Michael Leech, C.N.A., Cindy Hashins R.N. and other staff at the Courtyard Living Center in Fulton for the wonderful care and friendship given to Harrison.



Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at the Church.
