HAROLD SANFORD Saltillo - Harold "Big Harold" Sanford, 69, died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 15, 1943, in New Albany to James Allen and Alice Virginia Hogue Sanford. He retired from Tupelo Public School Maintenance Department after twenty years of service. He doted over his children and especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Guntown. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Frank Breaux and Rev. Bobby Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Glenfield Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Jean Sanford of Saltillo; three daughters, Cindy Davis (Doug, Jr.) of Ecru, Genia Buse (Ottis) of Guntown and Leigh-Anne Orr (Ronnie) of Tupelo; one son, Harold Sanford, Jr. (Kim) of Saltillo; fourteen grandchildren, Meagan Gaines (Adam), Brandon Davis, Kasey Buse (Amber), Chelsea Buse, Leigh-Anda, Kaleb and Britany Felks, Thomas, Brooke, Cloey and Harlee Sanford, Brent, Dusty and Makaele Bolan; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Shelby Murphy of ____, Illinois; three brothers, Jim Sanford (Charlene) of _______, Tommy Sanford of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Joe Sanford of Brandon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Birdie Mae Jarves, Billie Ruth Boyd and Eva Reeves. Pallbearers will be Adam Gains, Matt Breaux, Brandon Davis, Kasey Buse, Kaleb Felks, Mike Sheffield, Thomas Sanford anad Dusty Bolan. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday school class at the First Baptist Church in Guntown and the past and presant employees of the Tupelo Public Schools Maintenance Dept.
