HAL DEATON, Jr.
Memphis - Harold L. "Hal" Deaton, Jr., 51, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at his residence after a sudden illness. A Greenwood native, he was born February 13, 1955 to Harold and Mary Taylor Deaton. A 1973 graduate of Tupelo High School, he then went on to Mississippi State University where he graduated in 1978 with a degree in business. He was an investment broker and had worked as a managing director for Morgan Keegan for over 20 years. He was an avid supporter of MSU athletics and enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He treasured his friends and family in Memphis and Northeast Mississippi.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Mike Caldwell will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his parents, Harold and Mary Taylor Deaton, of Saltillo; one brother, Mike Deaton and wife, Kim; one nephew Taylor Deaton, all of the Natchez Trace Villas.
Pallbearers will be Charles Poole, Bruce Krumcke, Chris Rogers, Craig Wilson,Rick Faucette, Randy Monaghan
Honorary Pallbearers will be the employees of Morgan-Keegan.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and also following the service.
