Saltillo - Harold Edward Jackie Caradine, Jr., 63, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at his residence in Saltillo after an extended illness. He was born December 21, 1945 in Clay County to Harold Edward Caradine, Sr. and Faye Reese Caradine. He served a number of years in the United States Marine Corps. He worked many years in the furniture industry where he was an upholsterer with Futorian in Okolona. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Paul Whitt officiating. Burial will be in Hatchett Cemetery in Clay County.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Dorothy Caradine of Saltillo, two daughters, Patty Hallmark (Marvin) of Vina, Alabama, Lisa Moore (Jimmy) of Guntown; two sons, David Caradine (Reana) of Okolona, Billy Caradine (Patricia) of Pontotoc; his mother, Faye Reese Caradine McCrory, Okolona; one sister, Janice Coleman (David) of Okolona; one brother, Jimmy Caradine (Marianne) of Vardaman, six grandchildren, Cody and Courtney Moore, Elizabeth and Edward Caradine, Bradley Duncan and Daniel Tackett.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Edward Caradine, Sr., an infant brother, Billy Joe Caradine, and his grandfather, Edward Patrick Caradine.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Jaggers, Rod Moore, Clifton "Jabo" Whitt, and, Billy, Daniel, and Phillip Tackett.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
