Saltillo - Hannah Easterling Honan, 79, died Monday, November 8, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born November 8, 1931 in Saltillo to John and Ruby George Easterling. She graduated from Buena Vista High School in Tippah County. An avid golfer, with 2 hole-in-ones to her credit, she was a recent, long term member of the Natchez Trace Golf Club. She had a long time love of music and literature, and was a voracious reader. She was a long time member of St. James Catholic Church. She adored her family was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Father Henry Shelton officiating.

Survivors include three sons, John Michael Honan of Tupelo, Rick Honan (Virginia) and Barry Patrick Honan both of Saltillo; one sister, Hazel Jenkins of Millington, TN; one brother, Tom Easterling (Marcela Cardenas) of Saltillo; two grandsons, Cristoffer Adhamh Shane Honan (Catherine Dement Honan) of Fort Bragg, NC and Sean Honan of Saltillo and his mother, Kim Cooksey of Shrevport, LA; two great grandchildren, Lucas and Sarah Honan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Honan, on October 28, 1984, one sister, Erlene Rau; one brother, Joe Easterling.

Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.

Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at the funeral home.
