Tupelo - Grace Kathryn Potts, 88, died Friday, February 3, 2012, at her residence. She was born in the Unity Community of Lee County on December 23, 1923 to Samuel Joseph and Nettie Cleo Brown Bishop. She was a high school graduate of Unity High School. She retired from Sadler Manufacturing after 40 plus years of service. She was a member of East Main Church of Christ. She loved her family and her cats. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister Gary Williams officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include one son, Scotty Scruggs of Tupelo; one daughter, Judy Jones (Pat) of Saltillo; five grandchildren, Lisa McNeece, Deanna Anthony, Kelly King, Jeff Scruggs and Rhonda Smith; nine great grandchildren, Avery, Taylor and Jill McNeece, Lauren, Zack and Emily Mask, Zoe and Logan King and Callie Anglin; two great-great grandchildren, Tahrleigh and Alli; her sister, Elsie Rushing of Dorsey; one brother-in-law, Pete Barber of Mooreville; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert D. Potts who died in August of 2005; two brothers, Carl and Jim Bishop; two sisters, Bertha Barber and Gertha Nell Herring. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the funeral home.
