Mooreville—Glynn Allen Martin, age 59, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at his home in Mooreville. He was born April 10, 1963 in Tupelo to Charles Martin and Helen Gillentine Martin Gable. Glynn worked in construction as a painter and roofer. He loved the outdoors, spending many hours hunting, fishing, and hunting for arrowheads. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Glynn leaves behind his wife, Addie Martin of Mooreville; five children, Chad Martin of Fulton, Candi Moore of Amory, Cassidy Murphree of Mooreville, Joey Martin and wife, Ashley, of Mooreville, and Jeffrey Martin of Fulton; 10 grandchildren, Destiny Martin, Hayden Martin, Landon Martin, Ava Grace Martin, Brayden Beasley, Kayleigh Beasley, Addilyn Murphree, Will Major Martin, Noah Moore, and Ariana Witcher; two brothers, Gerald Martin and Gary Martin and wife, Vickie; a sister, Debbie Lansdell and husband, Jay; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother, Ripple Cayson, and his grandfather, Hubert Gillentine.
Services honoring Glynn’s life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Gerald Gann officiating. Burial will be in Bougefala Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Saturday at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
