Glyn Winchester
Evergreen Community- Walter Glyn Winchester, a dedicated family man at 85 years old, joined his wife, Mollie, in Heaven on Friday, September 3, 2021. Glyn was the son of Mosby Truman Winchester and Leithie Druscella Williams Winchester; he was born October 7, 1935 in the Itawamba Carolina Community. As an only son of sharecroppers, Glyn was taught at an early age the value of hard work and the importance of supporting a family. He remained with the company until his health declined, forcing him into retirement in 2009, after over 50 years of dedicated service. On September 8, 1962, he married Mollie Imogene Winchester and at her death in 2018 they shared 55 years of marriage. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to his favorite country artist, Charlie Pride. While able he attended Evergreen Baptist Church.
Glyn is survived by his only daughter, Pamela Garnsay of Tupelo; one granddaughter, Adreana Camille Spencer and her husband, Jarrett, of Burton, Michigan; two great-grandchildren, Willow Paige Spencer and Brooklyn Aubree Spencer; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Lou Patrick of Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Winchester; two sons, Walter Glyn Winchester, Jr. on January 8, 1973 and Adam Clayton Winchester on July 12, 2011; and three sisters, Ruby Lucie Hamm, Elizabeth Betty Mahan, and Georgie Bishop.
