GLORIA B. JONES
Tupelo - GLORIA B. JONES, 51, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A native of Waukegan, Ill., she was born September 18, 1954 to Arice Marvin and the late Vivian Kendrick Basham. She was a graduate of Amory High Scool and worked for Bellsouth for almost 20 years. She had also worked for Butler International. She enjoyed dancing, reading romance novels, needlepoint and taking care of her dog, "Cole." She was a faithful Christian mother and friend and was loved by all those who knew her.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Wayne Napier officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include one son, Robert Kerr Jones of Birmingham; her father, Arice Marvin Basham of Hatley; one sister, Marcell Senter of Iuka; four brothers, Jimmy Basham of Waynesboro, Tenn., Tommie Basham of Newburg, Mo.; Dewayne Basham of Hatley, and Randall Basham, of Rockford, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers, Billy Ray Basham and Bobby Joe Bashham.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Clowers, Steve Altom, James , Kevin Senter, Joel Robertson, Bo Johnson, and Noah Robertson.
Billy Scott will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
