Okolona - Gloria Dean Cullum, 73, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home after an extended illness. A native of Dell County, Ark., she was born August 24, 1934, to the late Floyd and Jewel Montgomery Ramey. She was retired from Lane Manufacturing after 20 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Troy Baptist Church.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Jones Chapel Baptist Church on Hwy. 6 in Nettleton, with Rev. Bill Payne and Rev. Dwight Brown officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Becky Zepeda and husband, Martin, of Troy and Teresa Sparks and husband, David, of Shannon; one son, Ricky Morgan of Columbus; six grandchildren, Allen Morgan and Christie Nuckols of both of Fayette, Ala., Joseph and Meagan Zepeda of Troy, Adrian Broadway and Zachery Johnson, both of Shannon; one great-grandson, Matthew Morgan; three sisters, Earsie Wong and husband, Bill, of Amory, Sue Hill and husband, Clinton, of Athens, Patricia Wigton and husband, Joe, of Amory; several nieces.
Pallbearers will be Bill Wong, David George, Billy Jones, Allen Morgan, Joseph Zepeda, and Zachery Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike McGloflin, Cory Finn, Josh Rayburn, and Chris Nuckols.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Jones Chapel Baptist Church and will continue Friday from 12 p.m. until service time at the church.
