GLENN ALLEN BEST Saltillo - Glenn Allen Best, 62, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at home. He was born June 1, 1952, in Oakman, Alabama, to Paul and Dorothy Best. He lived most of his life in Illinois before moving to Saltillo. He joined The United States Army serving in Vietnam. He married Patti Ann Patton on September 18, 1976. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, time in his yard, hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Saltillo. He was a truck driver for L & J Products and Sales of Tupelo for more than fifteen years. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at The Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with military honors with Rev. Sammy Raper officiating. A graveside will follow at Fellowship Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by four children, Jessica Sue Best, Chandra Jean Best, Glenn Thomas Best and Travis Allen Best all of Saltillo; his mother, Dorothy Best of Nettleton; three grandchildren, Andie Jayce Best, Jacie Alexa NiKeda Best and Bradlee Allen Cole Best; five brothers, Gary Best and Timothy James Best both of Nettleton, Randy Best (Ronnie) of Plantersville, Michael Earl Best of the Brewer Community, and Danny Best (Debbie) of Saltillo; four sisters, Shirley Ann Emler (Buddy) of Nettleton, Sue Ellen Monger of Georgetown, Texas, Doris Jean Foster (Jim) of Nettleton and Debbye Wilemon (Todd) of Fulton. He is preceded in death by his wife of thirty-eight years, Patti Ann Patton Best; his father, Paul Best; a brother, John Paul Best; niece, Sherry Lynn Best; nephew, Cary Thomason. Pallbearers will be Gary Best, Kyle Harmon, Danny Best, Randy Best, Timothy Best and Michael Best. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo
