Glenda Joyce Garrett Cooper, 59, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany after a lengthy illness. A native and life-long resident of the Auburn Community, she was born April 15, 1959, to Jack C. and Marine Thompson Garrett. She worked at Charlie Brown Nursery in Tupelo for over 15 years. She had also worked as a driver for SunBelt Courier. She was an avid pool player and had a reputation for being an area "Pool Shark". She had numerous awards and trophies to her credit. She especially enjoyed shooting pool at Shade Tree in Tupelo.  Glenda was a member of Auburn Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Marine Garrett of Auburn, one son, Jack Cooper Hunter of Auburn; one sister, Karen Whitt and her husband, Jeff of Itawamba County; two brothers, Danny Ray Garrett of Auburn and Barry Garrett and his wife, Angie of Plantersville; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack C. Garrett who passed away February 13, 2004.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday, October 5,2018 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.

Services honoring her life will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 5,2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Joey Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Whitt, Brandon Garrett, Bradley Cox, TJ Reich, Jonathan Smith and Justin Smith.

Honorary pallbearer will be Rolf Hall.

The service will be live streamed and recorded for those who may not be able to attend at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
