GINNY RUTLEDGE Tupelo - Susan Virginia "Ginny" Rutledge, 77, died Sunday, October 28, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Valdosta, Georgia on August 8, 1935, to James Ernest and Vidella Ruth Williams Dykes. She graduated from Harding College with a degree in teaching. She taught for many years as a school teacher in Memphis with Harding Academy. She also worked as a secretary for many years with Hydro-Hose in Tupelo until retirement. She was a member of West Main Church of Christ. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at West Main Church of Christ with Bro. Charles Tharp and Bro. Doug Greenway officiating. Burial will be in Tiplersville Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, James Craig Rutledge; two daughters, Cynthia Parker-Thornton (Randy) and Carol Lumsden (Ben); one son, James Craig Rutledge, Jr.(Nancy); four grandchildren, Drew, Natalie, Kaleb and Keegan. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Buren and Gene Dykes, Wayne Willaford . Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Vinson, Chuck Begnaud, Larry Williams, Gerry Killingsworth, Bill Crabb, Jimmy Keith, Ben Lumsden, Randy Thornton, Dub Hill, Terry Adkins, Calvin Turner, Howard Bland, Drew Parker, Kaleb Thornton, Gary Harris, Perry Britt and David Bridges. Visitation will be 1 - 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the West Main Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to the Russian Children's Fund, C/O West Main Church of Christ.
