Geraldine "Jerry" McMullan Brown Jerry Brown died peacefully on July 3, 2015 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She suffered from a brief illness and had a wonderful life. She inspired many through her strong since of family. She was born in Lake on June 14, 1923, to Dillard and Minnie Ola Huff McMullan. She attended Belhaven College and was granted a certificate of teaching during World War II. She was also a civil servant during World War II and served in the Adjutant Corp. She married Charles Kenneth Brown during the war and was happily married until November of 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband Kent Brown, son, Charles Kenneth Brown, Jr. and daughter Linda Brown. She is survived by one daughter, Pam (Guy) Holloway, of Tupelo and one son Pat (Nancy) Brown of Magee. Her grandchildren are Kristin (Donnie) Prax, Amanda Wade, Chuck Brown, Leslie (TJ) Jacques, Heather (Joe) Pyrlik, Corey (Kristi) Holloway and Anna Lauren Brown. A family graveside service will be held Sunday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Tupelo Memorial Gardens. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, Tupelo, MS.
