GERALD L. TURNER
EggvilleGerald Lynn Turner, 22, died suddenly Thursday, November 23, 2006 while visiting with relatives in Florida. A Tupelo Native, he was born Oct. 7, 1984. He had lived in the Eggville Community all of his life. He was a graduate of Mooreville High School and then went on to the Free Will Baptist College in Nashville, Tenn. where he graduated in 2006. He was currently serving as the Student Minister of Tupelo Free Will Baptist Church. He was married to Maci Dukes Turner. He was a warm and outgoing young man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Tupelo Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Pierce and Rev. Gerald Gann officiating. Burial will be in the Eggville Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of almost three months, Maci Dukes Turner of Tupelo; his father and stepmother, Lynn and Sherry Turner, of Eggville; his mother and stepfather, Pam T. and Bruce Sanders of Plantersville; a sister, Melissa Turner of Eggville; two step-brothers, Craig Brown and Brent Hall, both of Nettleton; one step-sister, Amanda Wright of Evergreen; his paternal grandparents, Tommy and Margaret Turner of Eggville, his maternal grandmother, Shirley Tackett of Plantersville; two aunts, Gail Harris of Saltillo and Tammy Stroud of Plantersville; and two uncles, Dewayne Tackett of Plantersville, and Ted Tackett of Auburn.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Tackett.
Pallbearers will be Todd Weaver, Jason Webb, Timothy Senter, Will Taylor, Nehemiah Hernandez, Heath Tyler, Thomas Cook, & Aaron Pierce.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church and will continue Tuesday 9 a.m. until service time.
