Saltillo- Gerald Cleveland Mabry, 71, died Wednesday May 9, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born July 14, 1946 to Agnes Geraldine Mabry in Baldwyn. After his mother’s death, he was raised by his maternal grandparents, Joel and Leona Mabry in Saltillo. On July 30, 1970, Gerald married the former Deborah Roberts together they have one daughter. During the Vietnam War, Gerald served in the Army Reserves. Gerald worked as a Truck Driver for Emerson Electric for almost 40 years before his retirement in 2009. He could always be found on Saturday night at the Go Cart Racing Track. He enjoyed talking and never met a stranger. He loved his family especially his daughter and grandchildren. He was a member of Saltillo First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Deborah Mabry; daughter Jacque Mabry Stanford and her husband, Dewayne, of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Daniel Mabry and his wife, Ashley, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, Brandon Stanford of Saltillo, James Davis and his wife, Stefanie, of Kirkville and Courtney Campeau and her husband, Harrison of Amory, and five great-grandchildren, Kellen Mabry, Logan Campeau, John Luke Davis, Ellery Mabry and Annalise Campeau.

Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Geraldine Mabry and grandparents, Joey and Leona Mabry.

Visitation will be held 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday May 12, 2018 at Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Mabry, James Davis, Dewayne Stanford, Harrison Campeau, Brandon Stanford, and Chuck Copeland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Ellis and Robert Parker.
