GERALD W. LITTLE Tupelo - Gerald Wayne Little, 72, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Itawamba County on August 21, 1939 to Theron E. and Annie Norene Francis Little. He served in the National Guard. He retired from The Tupelo Police Department after twenty years of service as a police officer. He was a Presbyterian, enjoyed hunting, fishing and all sports. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include five children, Susan Little May of the Jug Fork Community, Sandy Broschinsky (Rob) of Irvine, California, Marty W. Little (Sissy) of Saltillo, Donya Smith of Tupelo, Allison Pounds (James) of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Michael Leslie (Leslie Ann) of Jug Fork , Melody Byars (Brent) of Tupelo, Carol Elizabeth Little of Saltillo and Joshua Lonero of California; two great-grandchildren, Kylie Byars and Tucker Leslie; three nephews, Steve, Greg and Stan Little. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Elmer Earl Little; son-in-law, Jerry Wayne "Jake" May. Visitation will be Noon until service time, Saturday at the funeral home.
