Gerald George Saltillo- Gerald George, 76, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016. He was born September 28, 1939, to Felix A. and Annie Lee Rawls George of Lee County, Mississippi. Gerald was the owner/operator of George Plumbing for almost 50 years, and a member of Wheeler Chapel Church. He was a member of Dixie Iron Antique Tractor Club and Mississippi Valley Fly Wheelers Association. He also loved dirt track racing and was a fixture at many events including a scale official at Pine Ridge Speedway in Baldwyn for over 10 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 19 years Donna Mae Davison-George; his parents; step-mother, Grace; step-brother, Bobby; and step-sister, Betsy. He is survived by his two children, Felix W. George (Wanda) of Marietta and Ronna Lewis of Baldwyn; five grandchildren, Jessica and Tommy W. George, E. Nichole and Allicia Vasquez, and Tifani Lewis; five great-grandchildren, Koda Jane, Sam, Hunter, Daniel, and Vincent; and countless step-children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Gerald is also survived by his fiancé, Betty Dugan; and three sisters, Martha Ann Mason of Belden, Rita Griffen (Ray) of Belden and Shelby Jones of Tupelo; also, nieces; nephews; and grand nieces and nephews. He was loved by so many others, and his warm smile will be missed.Visitation will be held 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo and one hour prior to service time on Monday, July 11, 2016.Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Sam Holland and Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Graveside services to follow at Beech Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian and Casey Gillespie, Richard, Jason, and Michael Page, Johnny and Jeremy Kelly, Dan Crane, and Tim Bell. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Gillespie, John Pittman, Tommy Turner, and Ray Stanford. Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
