GERALD BEASLEY Tupelo - Gerald B. Beasley, 85, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born in Mississippi on February 2, 1927 to Ezra and Linnie Beasley. He was a United States veteran of the Merchant Marines and the United States Army. He owned and operated M & B Construction Company and later retired from the Mississippi Highway Department as a road superintendent. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. He was an avid reader, loved to travel both in the states and abroad. He enjoyed deep sea fishing. He loved to piant, especially native american landscapes. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends at the coffee shop in Mooreville and his beloved dog, Bo. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Willis Miller officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Faye Nell McDaniel Beasley of Tupeo; his brother, Wayne Beasley (Nell) of Tupelo; two brothers-in-law, T.C. McDaniel (Shirley) of Tupelo and German (Sara) of Fulton; caregivers, Freddie Morris, Tyrone and Theresa Garmon. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Steve, Tommy and Mark McDaniel, Joey Wilburn and Pat Beasley. Honorary pallbearer will be Glen Denman. Visitation will be 1 - 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, PO Box 2177, Tupelo, MS 38803 or the charity of your choice.
