MR. GEORGE SMITH Mooreville - George Harold Smith, 77, died Sunday, October 21, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1935 in Pontotoc to James Marshall and Maude Miller Smith. He loved to fish and was an avid NASCAR and motorcycle enthusiest. He was also a fan of the Florida Gators. Services will be 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Jack Ezell. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include five daughters, Georgie Floyd of Booneville, Dazzie Fowler of Tupelo, Susan Baker of Pontotoc, Amanda Camp (Neil) of Tupelo and Elizabeth Stanford of Tupelo; two sons, Jerry Dean Smith (Kay) of Guntown and Rocky Smith of Haines City, Florida; several grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Nancy Carol and Debbie Smith; one son, Terry Smith; one sister, Geneva Lyle; two brothers, Harvey and Golie Smith. Pallbearers will be Cory Ford, Blake Witherspoon, Neil Camp, Christian Witherspoon, Brandon Reed and Nathan Hester. Visitation will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 at the funeral home in Saltillo.
