Evergreen - Geneva "Jean" Hunt, 83, died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at her residence. She was born March 30, 1928 in Sardis, Tennessee to Leonard A. and Hazel Ellis Bridges. She lived most of her life in the Evergreen Community. She retired after forty plus years of service with Reed's Manufacturing in Nettleton. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, yard work and especially quilting. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. John (Ben) Raper officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Wesley Hunt (Deloris) of Saltillo; four daughters, Donnis Tooke of Verona, Cathern Underwood (Wayne) of Iuka, Glenda Johnson of Booneville and Gale McMickin (Jeff) of Golden; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers; one step-daughter, Joyce Sullins (Phillip) of Hamilton, Al. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Wesley Hunt on June 22, 1957; her son, Jimmy Wayne Hunt; two grandchildren, Brian Edward Hammock and Christopher Allen Hammock; her parents; two sons-in-law, Benny Tooke and Raymond Hammock. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at the funeral home.
