Gene Groner

GENE GRONER Pontotoc - Linder Gene Groner passed away at the young age of sixty five in his home on the morning of January 14, 2015. He was born September 23, 1949, in Lafayette County, Mississippi. He volunteered for the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and served his country. He was a gentle giant, a loving father and grandfather and served his family till his passing. He was preceded in death by his father, James Groner, Jr. and his, Mother Hallie Groner. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Deleon and husband Roberto their child Matt and Brandon, Teresa McDonald and husband Jeremy their children Grace, Tucker, Hallie, and Piper. He was also survived by five sisters, Candy, Brenda, Sherry, Jane, and Charlotte Anne and their husbands whom he called friends, along with a host of nieces and nephews. The family would also like to recognize his long time special friend, Genece Weaver Groner. The memorial service for Gene will be held at Houlka United Pentecostal Church at 1:00 p.m. January 15, 2015 all are welcome to come so show their respects from 12:00 p.m. till services close.
