GAYLE VAUGHN DAVIS Tupelo - Gayle Vaughn Davis, 62, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born on April 21, 1953, in Lee County, the son of Rubal Calvin and Jackie Nell Patton Davis, he was a longtime resident of Tupelo. In his early years, Mr. Davis worked in manufacturing in North Mississippi until founding Precision Blades in Saltillo in 1982. Mr. Davis attended The Orchard in Tupelo until his recent move to Iuka. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a 32nd degree Mason. He leaves behind his wife, Kathy Marie Davis; sons, Michael Shane Davis and Hugh Daniel Davis; grandchildren, Hugh Dalton Davis, Hugh Donavan Davis, Alexandra Michelle Davis, Mallory Marie Davis, Michael McCade Davis, Carter Crisman Trousdale and Elise Craig Trousdale; sister, Marjorie Sue Stokes; brother, Marty Olen Davis; sister-in-law, Carolyn Jessica Davis; daughters-in-law, Lisa Michelle Davis and Jennifer Leigh Thompson-Davis; as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Rubal Calvin Davis and stepmother, Geneva; mother, Jackie Davis Williams and stepfather, Dan. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are Danny Davis, Barry Davis, Art Loyd, Ronnie Mills, David Mills, Don Taylor, Martin Scarlett, Chris Thompson, Guy Pettrucelli, and Bill Hayden A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Shriners Hospitals for Children and The Arthritis Foundation.
