FRED MAY Saltillo - Freddie Martin May, 70, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015, at his farm in Saltillo on Euclatubba Road after a sudden illness. A Bruce native, he was born August 15, 1944 to Dow Laroy and Myrl Bramlett May. Fred was an United States Army Veteran. He was the co-owner of May Brothers Electrical Company. Fred attended Saltillo Presbyterian Church. He loved spending time on his farm working with his cows and horses, with his family especially his grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Dan Rupert and Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, of nearly 47 years, Martha May of Saltillo; two sons, Greg May (Ann) of Saltillo and Nicky May of Caledonia; one sister, Tresa May of Saltillo; four brothers, James May (Gaye) of Bruce, David May (Jane) of Saltillo, Roger May (Laura) of Saltillo and Tim May (Pam) of Saltillo and two grandchildren, Jon Michael Parker (Samantha) of Nashville and Ali Beth May of Saltillo. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Mike May, Gary May, Tom May and Jake May. Pallbearers will be John Franks, Mark White, Al Rice, Sidney Bailey, Allen Caldwell, Steve Bailey, Stacy Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ramone Zunga, Angie Watson, Jason Easterling, Shawn Reese, James Joyner and Wade Cox. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
