Franky P. McKay
Evergreen- Franky P. McKay, 50, died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Aberdeen, November 18, 1969 to Elmer Ray and Nell Scott McKay. When he was young, he developed a passion for music, especially gospel, and learned how to play the piano. His musical talents not only allowed him the opportunity to enjoy a career doing something he loved but also to share his passion and career with his siblings in their group, Willing Heart. Though music and singing were his greatest passions, he also enjoyed working in his yard. Franky was a people person: charismatic, fun loving, outgoing and always finding a way to make people laugh. His smile, whit and enthusiasm will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Nell McKay of the Evergreen community; two sisters, Nelda McKay and Loretta McKay of Tupelo; brother, Johnny McKay and his wife, Karen of Plantersville; several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer McKay; and sister, Martha McKay Haney.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Saturday, November 14, 2020 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
