Nettleton - FRANKLIN DELANO (FRAN K) MCCARLEY, 73, died Monday, October 22, 2007, at his residence after an extended illness. An Itawamba County native, he was born March 23, 1934 to the late William and Ruby Gahagan McCarley. He worked 23 years as a body shop foreman for George Ruff Buick and Olds and also worked for Mansco Manufacturing before he retired in 1982. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a member of New Chapel United Methodist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jimmie Criddle and Rev. Don Sparks officiating. Burial will be in New Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Virginia McCarley of New Chapel; three daughters, Wanda Henderson and husband, Billy, of Shannon, Jean Oliver and husband, Danny, of New Chapel, and Ann Conwill and husband, Johnny, of Shannon; two sons, Frank McCarley, Jr. and wife, Rebecca, of Shannon, and Tommy McCarley and wife, Sonya, of Baldwyn; three sisters, Linda Bailey and husband, J.C. of Tupelo, Elouise Gruber and husband, Clarence, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Sheffield of Tupelo; one brother, Ellis McCarley and wife, Kathleen, of Mantachie; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ed and Ray McCarley; three sisters, Jane Wilson, Annalois McCarley, and an infant sister; his mother and father-in-law, Bill and Anna Kate Wright.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Dale, Will, Jason and Jimmy Pannell, Joey and Andrew McCarley, Dean and Bobby Davis, and Shaun McLevain.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
