Frances Woods

FRANCES WOODS Tupelo - Clara Frances Woods, 70, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born September 20, 1944 to Thomas Jefferson and Cletter Clytie Graves Holmes. Frances was a member of Richmond Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed sewing and was considered an excellent seamstress. She served with her husband while he was in the Navy living in many different countries including Iceland, France, Scotland, Italy and Germany. Services will be 3:30 Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Sammy Raper officiating. A graveside service will be at Boguefala Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Robert Woods of Plantersville; one son, Bobby L. Woods (Donna) of Fresno, California; four brothers, Travis Holmes (Phyllis), Doug Holmes (Anna), Hilrey Holmes (Judy), and Carl Holmes (Barbara) all of Fulton; four grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Shannon L. Woods. Visitation will be 4 - 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
