Tupelo - Frances Virginia ONeal West, 86, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Tupelo native and longtime resident, she was born September 17, 1923, to John Patrick and Lottie Dugard O'Neal. She was a graduate of East Tupelo High School and was married to Herman E. West. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Paul Brashier officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Herman E. West of Tupelo; her children, Eddie West of Tupelo and Susan O'Quinn (Jeff) of French Camp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bob, Carl, and George O'Neal; and four sisters, Elizabeth Clayborne, Hilda Fain, Mildred Holland and Doris Crum.
Pallbearers will be Rudolph Franks, Jim Gunter, Phil Gunter, Guy Springer, Mark Smith, Erskine Bates.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
