FRANCES MITCHELL Eggville Community - Frances Marilyn Mitchell, 82, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning, June 11, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Lee County on October 3, 1931, to Marlow Thomas and Virgie Stokes Christian. On November 10, 1951, she married the love of her life, J. E. "Bill" Mitchell and together began building a lifetime of memories. For many years, she worked as a waitress at Rex Plaza and later worked in sales for Dreyfus Jewerly. She loved flowers and working in her yard, cooking for her family, reading and watching old movies. Keeping a beautiful immaculate home was something she took great pride in doing. She was a true Southern Steel Magnolia and a lady of great family value, who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, granddaughter and great-grandchildren. A special time of enjoyment was going to town with her granddaughter and spending the day shopping. She was a member of Eggville Free Will Baptist Church. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at Eggville Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Gerald Gann officiating. A graveside service will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two sons, James "Jimmy" Mitchell and Danny T. Mitchell both of the Eggville Community; one sister, Virginia Ingellis (Fred) of Tupelo; one brother, Marlow F."Buddy" Christian of Tupelo; one granddaughter, Christie Brooks (Andy) of the Eggville Community; three great-grandchildren, Andrew Grayson Brooks, James Deacon Brooks and Ella Frances Brooks all of the Eggville Community; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, J. E. "Bill" Mitchell in 2002; one daughter, Denise Mitchell in 1996; and one brother Eugene Christian. Pallbearers will be Mike Mitchell, Kevin Christian, Mike Christian, Steve Christian, Steve Mitchell, Jeffrey Mitchell, Rodney Moore, Tony Ingellis and Mark Christian. Kenny Mitchell will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Eggville Free Will Baptist Church.
