FRANCES MCKISSICK
Saltillo - Frances Baker McKissick, 77, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Home Place Assisted Living after an extended illness. A Lee County native, she was born February 25, 1930 to the late James Austin and Eppie Moore Baker. In1948, she graduated from Saltillo High School and also married Carl McKissick that same year. She was a seamstress for Reed Manufacturing Company for 42 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, flowers, and fishing. She also loved taking pictures. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Hoyt Moore and Rev. Ron McCully officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Carl McKissick of Saltillo; her daughter, Judy Beard and husband, Travis, of Tupelo; two sons, Carl Thomas "Buddy" McKissick and wife, Pat, of Greenwood Springs, and Bobby Joe McKissick of Saltillo; two sisters, Eunice Campbell and husband, Edward, of Des Moines, IA, and Faye Wooldridge and husband, Bobby Joe, of Mantachie; two brothers, James Merle Baker and wife, Margaret Ann, of Saltillo, and Charles Edward Baker and wife, Nancy, of Tupelo; seven grandchildren, Jo Lyn McKissick, Mallory Morgan McKissick, Hannah Marie McKissick, Tyler Beard, Peyton Beard, Bobby Joe McKissick, Jr., Hasten McKissick.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Brice Austin McKissick.
Pallbearers will be Jo Lyn McKissick, Mallory Morgan McKissick, Hannah Marie McKissick, Tyler Beard, Peyton Beard, Bobby Joe McKissick, Jr., Hasten McKissick, Ryan Sewell, and James Baker.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
