Frances Pate Elmore Tupelo - Frances Pate Elmore, 83, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. A native of Gordo, AL, she was born on May 24, 1929, to the late Grover and Ada Pate. She was a devoted housewife and mother, and an employee of Wilson Upholstery and Elvis Presley Birthplace and Museum. She was a faithful and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Tupelo and a member of the Ruth Faithful Followers Sunday School class. She was also a long standing member of the East Heights Garden Club. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at First Baptist Church of Tupelo with Chad Grayson and Ricky Young officiating. A private family burial will be held at Lee Memorial Park. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William H. "Bill" Elmore, two sisters, three brothers, and a grandson, Jay Elmore. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Randle and her husband Bill of Cookeville, TN, Sandy Brandon and her husband Ronnie, of Tupelo; two sons, Terry "Ace" Elmore and his wife Michelle of Tupelo, and Roger Elmore and his wife Marla of Okalona, MS; eight grandchildren, Mary Frances Strange and her husband, Nathan, of Tupelo, Ben Elmore of Tupelo, Betsy Elmore and Bryan Elmore of Hamilton, New Zealand, Drew Randle of Lancaster, PA, Steve Randle and wife Lani of Heidelburg, Germany, Jennie Randle of Nashville, TN, and Christy Younce of Arkansas; and 6 great-grandchildren, Ethan Strange, Clayton Strange, and Jay Strange, all of Tupelo, Ashlyn Henley and Georgia Kate Jackson of Nashville, TN, and Colin Randle of Heidelburg, Germany. Pallbearers will be Bill Randle, Ronnie Brandon, Ben Elmore, Nathan Strange, Danny Riley, Bob Kelly, Phil Daughdrill, and Craig Chancey. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ruth Faithful Followers Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church, Tupelo. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pegues Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the services at First Baptist Church in Tupelo.
