Frances Lamb Anglin

FRANCES ANGLIN Pontotoc - Frances Lamb Anglin, 98, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, May 15, 2015, at her daughter's residence in the Troy Community. She was born in Lee County on December 3, 1916, to James Everett and Sarah Cook Lamb and was the last surviving member of six children. Frances was a lifelong resident of Lee County until almost three years ago, when she went to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was Valedictorian of the1936 graduating class of East Tupelo High School, and was also a graduate of Draughn's Business College in Tupelo. After twenty-six years of service, Frances retired from Rockwell International. She worked diligently throughout her life until she retired to care for her ailing mother-in-law. One of the things Frances loved was vegetable gardening. She was a former member of Auburn Baptist Church and was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Anglin Prater (Danny) of Troy; one son, Wayne Anglin (Carolyn) of Holly Springs; three grand-children, Bonita Mendenhall (Ronnie) of Brandon, Michael Anglin (Nannette) of Olive Branch and Lt. Col., Retired, Tim Prater (Marty) of Madison; and five great-grandchildren, Amber Anglin, Britanie Anglin, Kelli Mendenhall, Matthew Prater and Kathryn Prater. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lubert Ward Anglin in 2007; and five siblings. Pallbearers will be Tim Prater, Michael Anglin, Matthew Prater, Ronnie Mendenhall, Brian Hill and Robert Scott. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Midway Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Lee Prater officiating. Graveside services will follow in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Midway Baptist Church.
