FORD WATERS
TUPELOWilliam Ford Waters, Sr., died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at North Mississippi Medical center. Born January 24, 1917 in the Ratliff Community to the late Robert Lee and Rella Ford Waters, he was retired from Pepsi Cola with over 30 years of service. He was a member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church and served in the Navy as a 2nd Class Petty Officer Cook on a minesweeper in the Pacific during World War II.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Bert Harper and Rev. Don Trammel officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Era Mae Waters of Tupelo; two daughters, Gail Castles and husband Chuck, of Selmer, TN, Ann Benson and husband Rusty, of Tupelo; one son, William "Bill Ford Waters, Jr. and wife, Sunny of Tupelo; one brother, Charles Waters and wife, Sylvia, of Germantown, TN; 11 grandchildren, Bill Waters, III and wife Jennifer, of Dallas, TX, Beth Eckard and husband, Dax, of Tupelo, Becky Waters of Pensacola, FL, Henry Waters of Jackson, MS, Jonathan Castles and wife, Nikki, of Jackson, TN, Joy Case and husband, Benjie, of Selmer, TN, Jason Castles of Tampa FL, Jimmy Castles of Selmer, TN, Graham Benson and wife, Peri, of Memphis, TN, Kyle Benson and wife, Gabbrielle, of Nashville, TN, Emory Benson of Tupelo; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Waters and Cecil Waters, one sister, Leola Burt, and an infant sister.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
