FLOSSIE H. MASK
Plantersville - Flossie Harlow Mask, 95, died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born April 19, 1911, in Pontotoc County to the late Charlie and Dora Bell Harlow. She was a nurse of 53 years, working 29 years in Harlan, Kentucky and then 24 years at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Nursing was her joy and passion. She had been a resident of Samaritan Garden in Tupelo for the past year. She was a member of Verona Baptist Church.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. David Hamilton and the Rev. Jerry East officiating. Burial will be in the Verona City Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Hazel Schissler and husband, Joe, of the Brewer community, Gloria Joyce Dallas of Verona, and Regena Lawson of Tallahassee, Fla..; one son, Charlie Mask and wife, Barbara, of Plantersville; one brother, XL Harlow of Columbia, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Mitchell Mask and wife, Catherine, of Memphis, Amy Forrest and husband, Bud, Clay Mask and wife, Lora, and Tony Dallas, all of Tupelo, Joe Mask and wife, Kim, of Saltillo, Paula Dallas and Mark Dallas, both of Verona, and Bill Lawson of Baldwyn; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd H. Mask; two sisters, Obion Petty and Elois Jenkins; and two brother, Purvie Harlow and liver "Snow" Harlow.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
