FLORENCE DALE EDWARDS
Okolona- Florence Dale Edwards, 91, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at the North Miss. Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She had been a resident at Rosewood Residence. She was born in Lee County to the late George Curry and Effie Simpson Curry. She was a retired seamstress with 40 years at Futorian in Okolona. She was a Baptist. She loved sewing and cooking for her family. She was the widow of Eugene Edwards, who died in 1965.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Bobby Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include four daughters, Victoria Hicks and Gloria Lesley, both of Mooreville, Dorothy Graff of Pasapoula and Brenda Wade of Tupelo; three sons, Junior McElwain of Mooreville, Marvin McElwain of Palmetto and Bobby McElwain of Shannon; four sisters, Louise Creely of Tupelo, Jimmie Poole of Biloxi, Addie Harris of South Carolina and Eddie Wallis of Pontotoc; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Hicks, Keith Wade, Jeff Senter, Clay McElwain, Shannon McElwain and Burnel Wade.
Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
