Faye Allred Lann

Nacogdoches, Texas, Faye Allred Lann, formerly of Tupelo, died peacefully in her sleep in Nacogdoches, Texas, on May 1, 2018.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Veto Lann, and their eldest daughter, Diane Uhl.

She leaves behind a son, John W. Lann of Land o' Lakes, Florida, and a daughter, Gail Lann Harris, of Nacogdoches, Texas; and two granddaughters, Leslie Van Story of Austin, Texas, and Erin Thompson of Nacogdoches, Texas.

Faye was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi where she lived her whole life, until 2014, when she came to live with her daughter in Nacogdoches. She graduated from Tupelo High School and attended secretarial college in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She met Veto in Tupelo where they were married in 1949 and remained married for over fifty years while raising three children. Faye was a volunteer for Sanctuary Hospice House and was a Sunday school teacher at St. Luke’s for over thirty-five years. She was also a girl scout and cub scout leader when her children were growing up. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She loved the Lord and loved her church; therefore, we are asking, in lieu of flowers, for donations in her memory to be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 1400 Clayton Avenue, Tupelo, Mississippi 38804.

Services will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on Saturday May 5th, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Robert Gill officiating. Graveside services will follow at Itawamba Memorial Gardens in Fulton.
