Faye Curbow

March 10, 1926 — August 26, 2010

Auburn - Faye Curbow, 84, died Thursday, August 26, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Lee County native and longtime resident of the Auburn Community, she was born March 10, 1926, to William Arthur and Edith Evelyn Davis Dickerson. She was a pastors wife and homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was a member of Auburn Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with children in Bible Drills.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Auburn Baptist Church with Rev. Bob O'Neal and Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Rev. Howard Tison Curbow of the Auburn Community; two daughters, Nancy Allbrook (Danny) of Collinsville and Dawne Nabors (Mitch) of Fulton; two sons, Clark Curbow (Teresa) of Tupelo and Steve Curbow (Sandra) of Mooreville; her sister, Mary Frances Loyd of Eggville; her brother, Joe Dickerson (Patricia) of Park Ridge, Il.; 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Howard Tison Curbow, Jr.; a son-in-law, Rex Chaney; six brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers will be Hoyt Curbow, Britt Curbow, Jeff Rigdon, Andy Gregory, Art Loyd, Jr., and Michael Dickerson.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church.
