FANNIE LEE
Tupelo - Fannie Clark Ballard Lee, 93, died Monday, October 23, 2006, at The Green Houses At Traceway after a brief illness. A native of the Dorsey Community and long time resident of Tupelo, she was born August 23, 1913 to the late John Alfred and Bessie Comfort Linton Ballard. She graduated from Verona High School. She had worked at Reeds Department Store for almost 50 years. She lived a very unselfish life, providing care for her ailing husband and parents. She was widowed at a young age. She was very active in her church, First Baptist of Verona, teaching a women's Sunday School class for many years. She enjoyed people, always willing to help. She was highly regarded and respected by her family and friends.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. David Hamilton and Rev. Jerry East officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Berryhill and husband, Johnny, of Tupelo, Gena Davis of Ft. Worth, Tex., Martha McFarland of Santa Cruz, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Mike McFarland, Patti McFarland, Cindy Brown, Steve McFarland, John Davis, Kenny Davis,and Ashley Oliver;eight great-grandchildren, John Landry, Jessica Landry, Lucas Brown, Mitchel Davis, Rachel Davis, Anderson Oliver, Hudson McFarland and Anna McFarland..
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee; one brother,Thomas Linton Ballard and a special nephew, Tom Ballard
Pallbearers will be Billy Fred Wheeler, Bobby Williams, Stanley Ryan, Joe Sandoval, Sam Young, and Randy Beane
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
