EVA SPENCER Mantachie - Eva Spencer, 86, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at her home. She was born March 7, 1926, in North Port, Alabama to Luther and Julia Halmon Sellars. She worked as a machine operator at the Charm Step Shoe Manufacture for three years. She enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She never met a child she couldn't love. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2013 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Derick Jones officiating. Burial will be in Boguefala Cemetery. Survivors include four children, Houston Dill (Nancy) of Savanna, Teneessee, Susie Wilson (Danny), Nancy Kemp (Robert) and Peggy Crumpton (Donald) all of Mantachie; one sister, Betty Moore of Chicago, Illonois; twenty-two grandchildren; sixty-one great- grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Mr. Buck Dill and Mr. Marion Roberts; five sons; three daughters; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and her parents. Pallbearers will be Robert, Randy, Dewayne, Matthew and Danny Kemp, Michael and Joseph Johnson and Scotty Dill. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Dill, Eddie, Bucky, William and Andrew Gray. Visitation will be 6 - 9p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
